It’s a beautiful medieval village, 30 minutes from the house, in the heart of the historic baix empordá. Just about the prettiest ancient village in the area.
There are several cafes and restaurants including a central square where you can sit inside or outside on one of the terraces.
Park in one of the public car parks clearly indicated as you enter the village; you don’t want to find yourself stuck in the narrow streets!
The local festival, Festa Major, is held every year in early August with concerts and activities and there is a medieval festival in the autumn.
From Peratallada you can easily reach the coast, passing through several other beautiful old villages. Palau Sator is also very picturesque.
